What we can work on

We all have a tendency to avoid our weaknesses. When we do that, we never progress or get any better

FAQs

What is an icf certification?

ICF (International Coaching Federation) is the only certification offered for life coaches. Certification is not a requirement to provide life coaching services. If a coach is ICF certified, it means that they have completed a coaching program and met practice requirements. This provides an enhanced view of a coach’s commitment to excellence in coaching.

What is the difference between a life coach and a therapist?

A life coach is not a therapist. Besides there being a great difference in the amount of education received there are other major differences. A life coach will work together with you to achieve goals in your life by creating a plan with you and holding you accountable at each session to meeting these goals. They give you tools to change how you look and interpret life stressors and how to take control of the things in your life. A therapist will work with you on overcoming past/present trauma, mental health issues, etc. Therapy can be very beneficial and necessary, especially in the first responder field. If you feel you need therapy I can refer you to my partners and provide you with the contact information you need to start your healing journey.

What do you mean by holistic approach?

You may have arrived here because there is a specific aspect of your life that you want to change. We will work together to meet this specific area goal but I also believe that we need to look at all aspects of our life and create a healthy balance. We will take a dive and see what other areas may need addressing and I will leave it up to you to decide what we work on. There are so many stressors in our lives and fixing the most immediate stressors are a good starting point. If we can improve all stressors, imagine how your life would feel!

Is life coaching right for me?

If you have goals in any area of your life and you are ready to make it happen but you don’t know how to start or where to go, then life coaching is right for you. You need to truly look inside yourself and decide if you are ready to take the necessary steps to get what you want. I cannot do the work for you, and I cannot tell you what to do. I can help you make an organized plan, I can hold you accountable to your actions and I can be your biggest supporter. So if you are not ready to put in the work then you are not ready to start life coaching.
